Generasi baru iPad dikenali sebagai iPad Air. Apple mengumumkan generasi kelima iaitu iPad Air di Apple Keynote pada 23 Oktober. Seperti biasa rekaan iPad Air lebih nipis dan ringan. Kepantasan cip pemprosesan 64-bit A7 dan cip M7 sama seperti iPhone 5s. Kamera 5-megapixel iSight, FaceTime dan video 1080p. Apple Air dijual bermula 1 November dibeberapa negara tidak termasuk Malaysia. Mungkin beberapa bulan kemudian akan dijual diseluruh dunia. Berikut antara spesifikasi dan harga :
